Shekhar Kapoor is originally a resident of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh and started journalism in the year 1982 with the Hindi daily Swadesh and then made his mark as a media person in Dainik Bhaskar. He was also associated with the renowned world's news agency Press Trust of India-New Delhi for more than a decade. He was also on senior position in Hindi daily Hindustan-Lucknow and Varanasi editions of Purvanchal. Thereafter he served on senior posts in Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, New Delhi and Jalandhar editions.
In the past years, he has reported on the proceedings of several state assemblies and the Parliament. During these past years, he has also received many prestigious awards and honours. Positive journalism and patriotic writings have been a part of his works.
Presently he is running a private news portal from New Delhi covering the news related to the proceedings of Parliament and various ministries of the Government of India.
