Responsibility to prepare students for future

I am often asked why I became a teacher so; today on Teachers’ Day let me begin by sharing my view point; my conviction -

I believe the future of the nation resides in its classroom and we need to instil the life skills, moral and social values in the children rather than producing robots. It’s time for Awakening Minds, Nurturing Vision, Crafting Dreams....

I have a legacy to leave behind, legacy in the form of successful students, who are an asset to the society; a holistic being. As an educator I willingly embrace the responsibility to prepare students not just for exams, but for future, for life.

More than two decades in the field of education, still every day excites me, because every new day comes with new challenges and new learning experiences. I believe in practising what I preach, I see every possible viewpoint in all the extreme situations, because you cannot arrive to a solution if you do not understand it.

My reward in all these years is my students’ unfailing trust in me, with the conviction they approach me, knowing I will always be there for them. The highest honour achieved by me, was given by my students, the title; Inspiration. Indeed it motivates me to strive towards excellence, every day.

Teaching is not only my passion, but it's an art, that I posses & I believe each child will be my best masterpiece. Every student for me is the future in making. Every year I witness an amazing process of metamorphosis; the young caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies, and fly away to chase their dreams, to achieve their goals.

Hailing from a defence background, discipline, integrity, patriotism and values are deeply instilled in me and I try to inculcate the same values in my students.

Teaching for me is getting connected to the young minds, seeking new and creative ways and an opportunity for immense learning.

An avid writer, voracious reader, blogger, a hard core researcher, a fitness freak...I am all I can be in one life... and I want my students to be the best assets to the world.

My main priority is my students. I believe the students across the world deserve the best. I am passionate about my mission and as a Principal I will take decisions that are in the best interest of OUR CHILDREN.

My success mantra...For the students...with the students...by the students...ALWAYS!!

In closing, when we as Educators, Parents and Society all work from the same script, with the same goal, together as a learning community and perform our best for the best interest of our children in our heart, action and deed, we are sure to provide WINGS to our students to explore the infinite sky.

My students will always remain the inseparable part of my life.............................
