PM launches grand challenge for improving ‘Ease Of Doing Business’

NEW DELHI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Ease of Doing Business Grand Challenge on Monday. In keeping with Prime Minister Modi's reform, transform, perform mantra, the challenge invites industry and start ups as well as the common man share innovative ideas based on AI, internet of things, block chain and other cutting edge technology to reform government processes.

Eliminating physical interface, improving service delivery, enhancing transparency and reducing cost and time in setting up and doing business are the expected outcomes of this challenge.

Addressing industry leaders, Prime Minister said that increasing ease of doing business has become possible because of policy driven governance.

Prime Minister Modi said that after a succesful co-operative competitive governance experiment, his government is expanding its scope to cover the district level.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spelt out several steps taken for the MSME sector including granting of loans upto Rs 1 crore in 59 minutes and government support for employment creating enterprises.

He also spelt out the new industrial policy for a New India that is being drawn up based on feedback from stakeholders.
