NEW DELHI. Cabinet approves Allied and Healthcare Professions Bill, 2018 for regulation and standardisation of education and services & setting up of Medical College at Silvassa in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli .. also approves extension of term of Commission to examine the issue of Sub-categorization of Other Backward Classes in the Central List till 31st May. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the setting up of Medical College at Silvassa in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli... a capital cost of Rs. 189 crore will be incurred in two years..2018-19.

Cabinet has also given its approval to expand the scope of mandatory packaging norms under the Jute Packaging Material Act, 1987..CCEA approved that 100 percent of the food grains and 20 percent of the sugar will be mandatorily packed in diversifed jute bags.

The Cabinet has also approved the Allied and Healthcare Professions Bill, 2018 for regulation and standardisation of education and services by allied and healthcare professionals.

The Cabinet approved the extension of the term of the Commission to examine the issue of Sub-categorization of Other Backward Classes in the Central List for six months beyond 30th November, 2018 and till 31st May 2019.(UPDATED ON NOVEMBER 22ND, 2018)
