2nd All India annual conference of IIS officers held in New Delhi

NEW DELHI. 2nd All India Annual Conference of IIS Officers was held in New Delhi on Monday. Over 150 senior IIS officers from across the country attended the conference.

The conference discussed about integrated communication approaches, regional expansion of social media, and impact assessment of Govt communication.

In his message, Union I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar conveyed his message to the delegates of the Conference wherein he highlighted the importance of feedback along with communicating the programmes and policies of government, stating that the IIS Officers are the eyes and ears of the government.

He urged them to avoid working in silos and instead adopt a unified approach to communication through working in tandem with officers of sister Media Units of the Ministry.

Speaking on the occasion, I&B Secretary Amit Khare has praised all for the work done during general election with effective model code of conduct.

Highlighting the importance and future of digital communication, Prasar Bharati CEO, Shashi Sekhar Vempati said that IIS officers have critical role in public broadcasting and they have done a commendable job in marking social digital presence in all govt media organisation..(UPDATED ON AUGUST 5TH, 2019)
