Centre Releases ₹240.80 Crore Additional Flood Relief To Punjab:Bittu
Union Minister of State for Railways, Ravneet Singh Bittu, has said that the Centre is firmly standing with Punjab in this hour of crisis. In a social media post, he disclosed that the Centre has released an additional 240.80 crore rupees to the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) of Punjab.
He said that as the Prime Minister has already announced 1600 crore rupees flood relief for the flood-affected Punjab, this additional fund reflects the unwavering commitment of the central government to support Punjab and its people.
This central share of SDRF is based on the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission during the present financial year of 2025-26.
