PM Modi hits out at Congress for Sam Pitroda's 'Hua To Hua' remarks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hits out at Congress for Sam Pitroda's 'Hua To Hua' remarks on 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Addressing an election rally at Rohtak in Haryana, PM Modi says, three words uttered by Pitroda sum up Congress' arrogance. Arun Jaitley says, Pitroda's comment is reflective of lack of remorse on part of Congress.

Training the guns on Congress leader over his "hua to hua" comment on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Bharatiya Janata Party chief Amit Shah said the remark was an attack on secular ethos. He tweeted to say that the nation will never forget the 1984 riots....and attacked Sam Pitroda for the comments - "hua to hua".

Union Minister Arun Jaitley tweeted saying .... It is a matter of disgrace that the Congress Party has no remorse over the Sikh killings of 1984.... Sam Pitroda's 'Hua to Hua' reaction to the 1984 Sikh killings is reflective of the lack of remorse on the part of Congress Party with respect to the 1984 genocide. Will the Congress President oust his 'Guru', who rubbishes the genocide of India's most patriotic community in 1984?

Also taking umbrage to the remarks was Union minister Prakash Javadekar. He said that Pitroda's comments were "shocking" and nobody could have expected it. He said that the remarks are unacceptable to the country and this cant be allowed to sustain. JAvadekar has called for an unconditional apology from the congress leaders.

Pitroda has claimed that his remarks were twisted out of context for political reasons.....I n a political slugfest prior to 6th phase of polling, the indian overseas congress chief sam pitroda has said that while the BJP should speak about what they have done in five years. It happened in 1984, so what?..the casual remarks have since then triggered an avalanche of angry reactions and political accusations.(UPDATED OON MAY 10TH, 2019)
